SMK offers a wide range of old and contemporary (primarily) Danish art. Beautifull buildings which allows you to enjoy the art and the surroundings. I was impressed by the ethnographic collection of this museum. It is very extensive and has very interesting items. Of note are the Asian and Inuit collections.

Whether taking visitors or just popping in for a dose of art - SKM is a beautiful space with a great variety of art. I took my 2 year old last time, and he even enjoyed it :)

The museum offers a great collection of old an new art. If you only have time for one art museum (there are quite a few here!) this should be the one!

Its large collection gives an excellent overview of Denmark's many fine artists. I especially like 19th C. Danish art including the "Golden Age" (Guldalder) painters

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the work on view. Having known next to nothing about Danish art I was taken with many of the works on display. And additionally there are a goodly number of world-renowned artists represented in the collection. We happily spent around 3 hours touring the gallery.
