Great adventure for our family! We read the helpful hint about going through the gate to the second car park area ~ invaluable advise. We hiked up the to very top - a must! The view of the valley below is almost as great as the view of the ocean. The ride there in our rental car was great fun... More

This is a beautiful area. There are two car parks, one at the bottom and one at the top. The only requirement if driving to the top is that you close the gate behind you as you drive up. The walk from the bottom car park is about 1.5KM and steep at the start. I am 7 months pregnant and... More

WOW! Our photos tell it all but I must say this is fantastic. Go up to the second gate and you can park just as the hike on the cliffs start. Wwe watch dolphins down below playing in the water as we hiked to the peak you see in the center of the clifffs.. The clouds overtook us so we... More

This spot was on our weeklong itinerary through Ireland, and was probably the best thing we saw. We stayed at Sligo, travelled and hiked here, and still had enough time to spend the afternoon in Derry and spend the night in Portrush. Take the road and park at the second car park (yes, you have to open the gate yourself... More

These are the tallest cliffs in Europe -- tight/narrow road, but well worth it. More

We visited Slieve League in april2012. We left our car in a carpark just before a hill. If you leave your car there, it will take some time to walk to the cliffs. But we enjoyed it. Very nice views. We did not climb to the top. We enjoyed it very much !! More

The parking lot about a mile from Slieve League has a gate you can let yourself through if you want to drive the last bit. The signs discourage driving, and we walked. After seeing the road I felt we could have driven it, but was very happy to walk - great views, and lingered at the rock outcrops. The views... More

Dispite living in Ireland all my life (50 odd years) I had never been here untill last week and was blown out of my mind that such scenery was on my door step. The day we got was sunny with clouds just covering the top of some of the cliffs and has some great photography potiental. If one is fit... More

In a country not lacking for spectacular scenery, the Slieve League reigns supreme. Yes, it can be a challenging climb, depending upon the weather, and no, tourists, buses, toilets and souvenirs will not be found...instead a traveller will have to rely upon their own efforts, both mental and physical, to draw from this most amazing of experiences a story to... Lovely views especially in the summer months. Not overcrowded like some tourist attractions. Free of charge. I've been to the more popular cliffs of Moher and I believe Slieve League is the more spectacular of the two, although Moher has lots more amenities. More
