In the middle of Stockholm, you can walk around this small island along the quayside and enjoy a beatuiful view of Stockholm. You can admire old restored ships, have a coffee or even visit Moderna Museet with contemporary art.

Reached by ferry and a short distance from Gamla Stan, the central and oldest island that is part of Stockholm, Skeppsholmen is a wonderful place to walk around with lovely green areas and an architecture museum with historic building displays. When I was on the island, two old ships were being restored and could be accessed. A beautiful old sailing... More

Stop off at Skeppsholmen to spend an afternoon or day - visit the monderna museum and the arkitect museum as well as walk around the island and perhaps have a coffee at hotel Skeppsholmen. There's lots to see and do. We are a little early in April after a cold winter to see the trees in blossom and flower but... More

A nice small island in the midle of Stockholm. This island has a museum called Moderna muset (The modern museum). Nice exhibitions and a lot to see. A nice cafe and nice clean restrooms in the same building.

The island itself is nice but try to avoid the ferry that takes you to Djurgarten. The people in charge are some of the rudest most arrogant bullies I've ever met. On Skeppsholmen you can visit the Moderna Museet. I was very excited about it. I had read it was one of the best Modern Museums in the world. It's... More

Nice little area to walk around, take photos, sit down and relax. Went there when the skies were blue and sun was shining and it was perfect to sit down and just chillax. There are a few museums around and if you keep going theres the Kastellet.

Charming place for Sunday brunch, ending at 4pm. Even though we were late, the staff went back to kitchen to offer us some lovely cheese and desserts.

several museums, one hotel, and that's almost it for this small island. so it is very quiet and peaceful with very good view across the water towards other islands. i love moderna museet, its exhibitions and the restaurant as well. had a lot fun staying on this island.

Just go there! You have great museums, best views of Stockholm all around the island. Feature one of the best show of small commercial ships I have ever seen, even in the middle of winter. Walking distance from or to the center of the city.
