We booked a northern lights evening tour with this company in january 2012 and got to see the wonderful northern lights although the place which we stopped to view the northern lights was around a small village so had some light pollution which wasn't great. Anyway it had been snowy and icy continuously and we had 'Gummi' as our guide... More

Great trip which was made very special by the lady driver who was fantastically informed; hugely enthusiastic to show her Country off to us and went out of her way to make the trip a fantastic experience. Highly recommended, good value and whilst some may be put off by an 8 hour coach/mini bus tour the time flew buy and... More

Smaller buses allow drivers to pull off on the side of the road at a moments notice. Cancelled first night due to weather but took us out the next night for a great display. Bus stops for snacks so take some cash if you want something to munch or just take you own. Make sure your camera is set up... More

We booked on March 22 but did not see the lights. Our guide - Bob who was very knowledgeable - gave us a card allowing a free second tour which we booked for March 23. They cancelled due to weather. We re-booked for March 24 and they again cancelled although we were told by others who went out with competing... More

Originaly booked a tour to see the northern lights on march 30th 2012. The weather around Reykjavik at the time of departure was clear but they phoned to say that the area we were to visit was very overcast so they cancelled, naturally we were a bit gutted but it saved us about 80 quid which we were able to... I'm afraid i have to agree with scoobyhols. We also had our trip on the 23 March cancelled (at very short notice) and missed the lights that all the other tours saw. We were finally taken out on Sunday even though the chance of seeing something was even less slim than the Friday. We were in a small bus and... More

During a 7 day visit, my husband and I did 2 tours with GTI (Gateway to Iceland), and found them to be absolutely brilliant. They use smaller coaches, meaning less people on the tours, and a much more personal, friendly service. For us, there was simply no competition - we much prefer the smaller groups, where you are not being... More

We took the Golden Circle tour with GTI and it was an extraordinary experience. The tour was a mix of driving and walking, and we were able to visit 10 different locations; all incredible. Our guide was very knowledgeable, sharing interesting stories about the country, its culture, the land. This was a life-changing experience for us, and I highly recommend... More

Our experience with GTI has left us feeling that they have got a bit too big for their boots. The reasons we decided to book with them in the first place were the great reviews of their service and the fact that they used small busses for the Northern Lights tours. I’m guessing that because of the reviews many more... More

We did a one day tour of the Golden Circle. Our guide Andre was excellent, and I would definitely want to travel with him again. very deep knowledge of Icelandic history, literature, geography, and culture. More
