We booked on this tour as an extra day out last Sunday, and it was excellent. Thor took around 16 of us out round the Reykjanes Peninsula in SW Iceland, and was incredibly knowledgeable about the surroundings. He also possessed a ready dry wit which appealed to all of our group. He was flexible about timing and, since none of... More

The owner and his team are genuinely lovely, courteous, knowledgable snd helpful. The tour was excellent and they collected and returned us to our hotel. We were not lucky enough to see the lights so when we return we will book a trip with Salty Tours Carina Booker

Thor was the perfect guide for our 15 person group on a 4 day tour of Iceland. Thor was very flexible with our housing arrangements (our group was split between two locations in Reykjavik) and gave us a very tailored tour of Reykjavik, Southern Iceland, the Golden Circle, and Blue Lagoon. He was very knowledgeable about all the places we... More

Thor was the perfect guide for my group of 15. From the moment he met us at the airport early in the morning, we felt we were in good hands. He was knowledgeable about the country, very patient and responsive to our questions and needs (taking us to particular types of places we wanted to see and being flexible with... More

I can't speak highly enough of Salty Tour and recommend it to all of my friends, family and Iceland visitors!! I traveled to Iceland with a group of 14 people. One of my companions booked the trip with Salty Tour and it was absolutely amazing. We had a much better time than we ever could have imagined! Our guide, Thorsteinn... More

We recently returned home from 5 days in Iceland, and it was a wonderful trip mostly due to the fabulous tour we took with Thor. He picked our group up from the airport and drove us around the many beautiful sites in Iceland, explaining things and answering questions as we went along. We had a large, rowdy group, and Thor... Like others we were staying at the Northern lights Hotel next to the Blue Lagoon and looking for something to finish off our Iceland tour before the late afternoon flight back to London. What a brilliant tour to complete a fantastic 4 days. We were fortunate in having a blue sky day with a vivid red sunrise, lots of snow... More

He was very knowledgable and even despite the icy conditions took us into local mountains to see lakes and steamy mountian tops with a walk trail around mud pools. the... More

This is a small tour...around 16 people and the guide, Thorsteinn Kristjanson, is quite wonderful. He knows exactly which spots are really worth a stop and, for lunch, took us to a lovely cafe in a small fishing village which was so much better than the usual tourist trap. The Lobster Soup was truly delicious. He has a wry sense... More

My husband and myself took this tour as a reasonably last minute trip, as we had one day in Iceland where we had nothing booked. It was surprisingly excellent, and even more so considering that the tour doesn't take place too far away from Reykjavik itself. The scenery you drive through is out of this world unreal, travelling through lunar-type... More
