If you have never seen a powerful waterfall up close, then this will be impressive to you. It is multitiered and thunderous, but that is all. Good photos are hard to get because of it's shape.

A very impressive waterfall, or more accurately, a series of impressive waterfalls. Walk and climb to several levels to view them from different viewpoints. Be advised that winds can be severe enough to interfere with walking, and as a result can be chilly even in summer.
How can you visit Iceland and not go? Easy to get to, easy to enjoy! What a place! Loved everything about it
This was the second time I visited Gullfoss and it is just incredible. Such a beautiful waterfall and interesting surroundings. I would just rent a car and drive out to see it. It was much better than the tour I went on last year. I was able to spend a lot more time there. It is worth the effort to...

This waterfall is definitely worth the drive as it was by far the most spectacular part of the golden circle tour. A great layout of the site means you can get right next to the falls for some awesome views and photos. And a good cafe too tops it all off!
It's an impressive double drop waterfall, but, it's not Niagara Falls. Views are great and easy to access on foot. There’s a gift shop with toilets near the carpark. The day we were there it was pretty busy with people/coaches, I expect all year round it’s pretty packed, so you may have to wait to get a shot in front...

Initially I thought "you've seen one waterfall you've seen them all' but Gullfoss was like no other waterfall I'd ever seen before. Well its a very impressive waterfall, with a massive amount of water moving over it and a great and Spectacular set of Falls.. But if its windy be prepared to take some Waterproof Clothes..
Very impressive! Good photo opportunities, spectacular falls and reasonable infrastructure. Allow 45 minutes.
We loved everything, especially the scenery. Take the path all the way to the end for the best photos. There's a little sign "Path ends here." Gullfoss isn't just a waterfall. It's a half-mile of waterfalls!
