Old piece of history, Was being painted and being brought back to a good standard when we visited, I went to Brighton the day before and I personally feel this was a nicer pier.

visited Dec 30 not many people out all was closed except the arcade but what's the point of going to a pier not to lose a couple of pounds in the slots,nice walk around the pier on a December evening.

We sent on a snowy bitterly cold day in winter, there were no other people on the pier, it was amazing to think the pier was build such a long time ago.

It was filthy, paint peeling and very little on it compared to say Brighton. If I was resident of the resort I would be embarrassed. It was winter so maybe summer events may bring sparkle to it but that still doesn't defend the state of it now, visitors still arrive in out of season times
