We visited the donkey sanctuary with our 2 children aged 4 and 2 years and our dog. It was a great way to spend a few hours. The place was very well kept, clean and tidy with good pushchair access. Dogs are welcome everywhere on leads and there were plenty of them around. It is free to enter and there... More

We booked a visit as a group to take advantage of a double destination offer which includes a ride on the Seaton Tramways. The work that they are doing here is marvellous. There is plenty to see and a large area to walk around should you wish to do so. It was good to see that all the donkeys were... More

If you love donkeys, this is for you, best of all its free!!! You really can spend hours meeting all 400+ donkeys including the very cute Wonkey donkey, who loved nothing more than being patted. Restaurant, toilets and baby change all top notch and very well serviced.

As two donkey lovers we had a very special visit to The Donkey Santuary to celebrate a 50th birthday! All the animals were so well looked after, have access to comfortable stables and wonderful green fields it was a pleasure to see them. I also really enjoyed seeing Walter my adoptive donkey. Thank you.

Unfortunately we don't get to the santuary as often as we used to, mainly because our aunt who lived nearby died. But the times we did go it was superb the donkeys were well looked after, areas clean and staff friendly and informative, We have sponsored several donkeys over the years and the only complaint was of the cafe which... We are regular visitors to the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary and I cannot believe the comments made by 'Sue H' in her review on 10th May!! I can only imagine she have mistakenly reviewed the wrong sanctuary!! The Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary is always such a lovely place to visit. The atmosphere amongst the many happy content donkeys always an enjoyable experience.... More

We took my daughters and my parents here in May and it was brilliant. The founder decided nobody shoud have to pay to spend time with these gentle creatures and so the sanctuary doesn't charge admission. And what's more, the gift shop doesn't charge a fortune either and you don't feel pressured to donate anything - in consequence, you really... More

terrible place to visit and for £12.00 each, when people just walked in with out paying, donkeys on chains looking sad, and with skin infections, café not much there, prices sky high, poor elderly donkey looking so sad, it was heart breaking,
