don't be fooled by the small exterior. This place goes back a long way, and there is something to be enjoyed by everyone. I like the idea that if you buy a ticket it is valid for a week and you can go back again

Fantastic Museum filled with wonderful things to find, explore, learn and examine! Staff are friendly and helpful and there is always plenty to see and do. A picturesque little gem in a town full of history.
Fascinating place, so interesting. Not too big so keeps the children entertained, and just make sure you look into all little cupboards, drawers etc.... weird things you are sure to find! Lovely staff too - helped us finish our dino trail. THANKS!!!!
Teriffic place to be on a wet day. Lots of interesting items to see , the kids will find the beatles and butterflies really interesting. There is a good dvd show all about the area and even a couple of chairs to relax while your watching the show , but there should be more.
Very interesting, well set out . Unfortunately when watching video it was spoilt by noisy children whose parents did not appear to notice we were trying to listen to the video commentary
It's a nice little museum, lots of different pieces to look at and get involved with. Some very strange bits, some are quite shocking. But if you've got an hour to spare, it's well worth popping in.
We found out so much about the history of Ilfracombe & North Devon from spending a few hours looking round, and talking to staff. The exhibits are well laid out, and I would reccomend this museum to any one visiting the area.
Amazing amount of stuff in such a small space, loads of imformation, friendly staff and you got to touch stuff. Great fun.
On a cold and breezy day this was an inexpensive way to keep the kids entertained for an hour (could easily have been longer but the car was in a pay and display) Staff were friendly and the exhibits were interesting.
