Not a huge place but unusual and memorable. Small helpful staff. Entrance was 4 euros, more if a combined ticket wanted. Excellent descriptions. No photos inside are allowed, rightly so if using flash!

The home of the artist & archtect Giorgio Vasari is worth visiting if you are interested in art. The paintings are beautiful & the museum is well laid out with good explainations of the artwork. There is also a walled lovely garden with a goldfish pond that you can enjoy in good weather.

Vasari was (is) a well known 16th century artist, art historian (the first) and architect (the Uffizi). There is a good wikipedia article on him. He bought this house in 1540 and decorated it with frecoes on all the walls and ceilings. The first room is a riot of colour and pattern. It is not so successful in some of the... More

The house itself is not too big. However, it is a real jewel. The ceilings and walls are all frescoed - and are lovely examples of Vasari's work. Apart from a few objects, the house is not furnished but this does not mean less interesting. it might be a plus since you can walk around without the fear of knocking... More

Casa Vasari is off the beaten track but you should still take the time to visit. It is a small "museum" and is part of the cumulative ticket you can purchase in Arezzo. Vasari is known for the Vasari Corridor in Florence but he was a man of many talents - author, painter, architect. He painted profusely and his house... More

The former home of Vasari is interesting for several reasons. His paintings cover many of the rooms and the home gives one an idea of the space constraints for a family of the time. There is a garden that can be accessed from the house which is worth a visit. Before going, read up on Vasari or watch the videos... More
