Great views of the town and coast from here. There is also an excellent natural history section on the local flora and fauna and an interesting small exhibition about Goethe's visit to Malcesine. Get the combined entry ticket with the Funivia

A fabulous location with fantastic views in all directions.Lots of see, inside and out. There are many staircases and fabulous views of Garda, but large part of the castle is not that ancient.... There is small museum in the castle area about Garda geology, history, flora and fauna. Highly recommended!
We traveled for a friends wedding and what a stunning setting to hold it. It was a climb, but the walk up the cobbled old Italian streets through such an old historic town made the trip interesting. The walk back down as a wedding party was made by the number of people spontaneously clapping the bride and groom.

The meandering walk through charming medieval streets up to the castle is one of the best bits of a visit here. The interior of the castle buildings and eclectic exhibits aren’t particularly interesting, the main attraction is the lovely views from the ramparts and tower. The higher you can get the better the views and exploring the various dead-end paths...

We came here on a trip from Riva del Garda with friends, it was a good day out, the men climbed the tower they took many photos over the buildings and out over the lake, we watched the boats wind surfers and ferries coming and going there is a museum about the lake a great day out at Malcesine Castle.
Standard castle, for cheaper than you can get into many UK attractions, with a little museum showcasing the science of the lake
There are the views overlooking the red-brown brick-ceiling sea, the mountains, the lake and opposite villages. It is quite breath-taking to stand in the tower and see the smaller boats, sailing boat or ferries crossing the lake or docking in Malcesine.
There is the museum of natural history and Goethe hall with interesting material. And I believe you can often...

The castle was stunning and a perfect setting for a wedding. We took some great photos with beautiful backdrops. The view from the top over the lake is fantastic. We went on a very across the lake and the view of the castle was like something out of a fairytale
Worth a visit and if you can manage the wooden steps to the top of the tower you will be rewarded with the most fantastic views both of the town and the lake.
