Arriving at the port of Cassis, opt for the larger or smaller number of Calanques. The most beautiful are Port Miou, Port Pin and En Vaux. On the boats so there are comments in French and a very bad folder is provided in English when the purchase of the ticket. The ride is pleasant and along the coast. The Green... More

Having read the last few reviews, it seems like most people got to enjoy the boat ride to Cassis and the view of the Calanques. So for something different, I shall shift the focus for those who are interested the sports/adventure side of it. We took the bus no.21 from Rond-Point du Prado to Luminy, which is probably the quickest... More

Boat trips from either Marseille or Cassis. We went from Cassis. Booking building is a yellow prefab right at the head of the port - easy to find. Definitely worth 'doing' all 8 Calanques (you have the choice of 3, 5 or 8). Don't forget your camera. Commentary was in French, but we were given English printed guides which were... More

Why would you visit Cassis and not have a look at the Calanques? They are a very unexpected geological site. One day we visited them on foot and although you could spend a long day hiking among them if you had the proper footwear, supplies of water and were very energetic, we found three hours was long enough to get... The national park was wonderful with vistas around every corner. This is a MUST Do in Cassis! The hiking was what you wanted to make it so you could take it at a slow pace and really just take in the gorgeous scenery.

Stunning part of the world. Cassis is a lovely town deserving of a good look on foot. Boat trip to the Calanques is so worthwhile. Definitely recommend the 8 Calanques trip (1.5 hours). Then an early lunch at a restaurant in Cassis aided by a bottle of cassis wine ...... Or a baguette or two and cheese and wine (and... More

Lovely ride and beautiful sights but bumpy!! Be flexible because they do not like to plan ahead at the boat reservation booth.

Glad to see the area between Marseille and La Ciotat has gained the protection of National Park status. It's a unique ecosystem with remarkable rock formations.
