We will remember the big Kauri Trees, the spider who ate the insect and all the wetas, stick insects and eels we saw! We will have to come back for the kiwi :)

Ian, Barbara and Co. made us feel very welcome in this boutique, secluded lodge. They we're extremely helpful from the start recommending the night walk and b&b combo. Sensational forest experience, great guide! Very passionate and knowledgable. An intimate tour of virgin rain forest, the guide created a unique and compelling experience. Ian makes your time in the Puketi truely special .His enthusiasm and knowledge of his locality make it a fascinating evening .As darkness falls you will see bats , eels, cray fish and a lot of the insects that live in the forest so this is not a trip for the squeamish .
