One of the best beaches on Maui and a great snorkel spot. Go early, before 9 and you have the beach to yourself and a very few other people. It's great for swimming as well. Good facilities for shower afterwards. Parking is limited so getting here early helps ensure a spot.

A very nice beach for all kinds of activities. Great for suntanning and relaxing or being more active. The bay is protected which makes it great for water activities. There is a place that rents paddleboards, snorkel gear and scuba gear. The snorkel in the bay is some of the best that I have seen anywhere in the world. This... More

Kapalua, located about 10 miles north of Lahaina, is a quintessential Hawaiian beach. Thick white sand, rock formations ringing the crescent, and crystal clear, aqua water all make for a great day at the beach. The waves were gentle so not great if you're looking to surf but we practically had the beach to ourselves the day we were there.... More

we stayed nearby at Napili Point and went to Kapalua Beach twice. It is a beautiful beach with a variety of spots that are interesting. We were on the right side the first day and that's where the waves were good for boogie boarding. The next time we came we went to the left side and there it was great... More

This is one of the best beaches for snorkeling on Maui! Forget Black Rock Beach... I saw at least 20 species of fish in about 45 minutes here. However, with all of the coral and sea urchins, it is easier to snorkel at other than low tide. Access is via the parking lot to the left of Merriman's Restaurant with... More

I'm going to assume this beach is very pleasant from about 9 pm until 7 am. Unfortunately, we arrived about mid-day and it was jam packed. It's a fairly small sandy beach and bay really with a long shallow area, public shower and a board-rental shack too. The parking area is pretty small, as are most of the "shoreline access"... More

Not very busy, beautiful sunsets, hope they don't do any more development in the area though. There was a wide variety of fish, and great for snorkeling with snorkels available at the local shop.

I snorkeled on this beach and paddle boarded. I did bring my own paddle board as well as snorkeling gear so you may want to look up where to rent those items. It is a very popular snorkeling location but I found that it wasn't too overly crowded for our enjoyment. Paddle boarding was great also. You have a huge... More

We went here and my kids were able to wade in the water as there is virtually no waves. You should get there early to find parking and a good spot on the beach. There are washrooms here as well. We saw several fish in the shallows by the rocks and even saw a turtle swimming a few feet from... More
