Stunning views all round. A well marked walk from the car park to the end of the headland (you can return via a different route very easily). AND a great cafe at the car park. What more could you wish for? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
this was my first time onj the sheeps head and it will be the first of many, the views the walking and the relaxation are amazing the hospitaity aroubnd the area is noteworthy also.

It's the only way to motor. The scenic route is always the best route! a few goats or cattle are sure to be looking your way!

This small peninsula has a walking trail which is one of the best in Ireland. There are fantastic sea views with a final walk to the light which is memorable
Seriously. Boggy wet. Even in mist and rain the walks are beautiful, well marked and wet. The various spots along the way (Eileens Pub in Kilcrohane) help.
Beautiful walk with stunning views of the Atlantic. You've got everything there: beautiful lakes, scary cliffs, a poetic lighthouse. I would avoid the coffee shop, I had a hot chocolate that tasted like hot water....
We found out about the great hiking once we arrived and were surprised at how wonderful the views were. Even the weather was great.
