The large castle is accessible after a short climb or a ride with the elevator (included in the price). There are several museum collections in the various buildings. Seeing all will surely take 2 to 3 hours.

We visited the castle by chance. Kufstein has organized a medieval knights and knaves event with a lot of people in antique clothes involved, with market stands, music, magicians and other entertainments. Excellent views from the top. There is a funicular to the top. The fortress has a feeling of history.

Walking around the fortress was one of the highlights of our visit to Kufstein. It has a beautiful view over the river Inn, and its several museums are interesting.
