We stumbled upon this landmark almost by accident, we were looking for the Folklore Museum in Victoria, (Rabat) by mistake we went to a Folklore museum in Gharb which was closed. We did stop and look at the church in the square. Still had some time to look around we saw the signs leading out of town to Dwerja,(Blue Hole)... More

My family ended our visit to Gozo with a trip to Dwerja Bay and the Azure Window (Blue Hole). It is simply stunning - pictures don't do it justice, you must see for yourself. No visit to Gozo would be complete without a trip to this part of the island.

What a beautiful place. I can imagine that in the summer it would be heaving but on a beautiful day in November it was sublime and peaceful. The size of the cliffs are impressive and you can see fishermen casting off on precipitous edges. There was also a chap offering photos with his pet falcon and an owl!!

Beautiful spot with some shops, a cafe and one resturant. Very busy in the day with divers and tourists but dead at night.

in my opinion much better then the one of the same name in Dahab, Egypt...... The way to get there from the parking place, with all equipment on your back is not comfortable, but.... all troubles are repaid under the water ;-) Still sorry I made only one dive there!

Situated by the Azure Window, the BlueHole is an ideal dive spot and also work the trek down the rocks for land based visitors too.
