I love bridges and Bixby Bridge is my favorite. Spectular views and great place for pictures. My husband went out to the middle of bridge but I was too scared! Not the place to be if your afraid of heights. I like to look for the sidelines!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the 8 people that rated this as average must be from Mars to not be impressed. We thought this was a terrific drive with multiple stops to view the stunning landscape with the Bixby Bridge as the main focus.
if you're driving south, drive over the bridge and stop at the next high vista point. This gives a great view of the bridge and coast line. Nice even when it's foggy.
Careful, parking and walking can be a bit dangerous here. Otherwise, the views are fantastic. It is neat how the bridge is fit in to the landscape. Great photo opportunity!
Its a bridge. You cross it to continue down the road but it's more than that because of the marvelous beauty of it's design, the history it holds and the setting it has been placed in. The Bixby Bridge is a fantastic photo op you'll want to stop by, drive across, explore the coast a bit more and then turn...

Do not pass go do not collect ....... have a good look and you see an awful lot of very clever thought and an awful lot of hard toil went into this Bridge that must have been done without an awful lot of flash machinery. Clever and brave people did this .
A great place to stop for a minute or two to take some gorgeous photos. An engineering masterpiece and a marvel to observe.
Bixby Bridge is phenomenal, the breathtaking view is definitely worth the stop for some gorgeous photos!
...but if you traveled around Alps or other mountains, you will be bit disappointed. It’s quite a simple hanging bridge, but its location is the key. Depending on the weather, you will have blue skies and blue water against red rocks and cliffs with green scenery or dark screaming ocean hurling white waves trying to demolish everything on its way....

When you get to the Bixby Bridge you are either going south to Big Sur or north to Carmel. Either way you can't lose! The bridge is great. Give yourself time to pull over. I have the most beautiful picture of the bridge approx. 15 minutes before sunset.
