Took the family here and had a wonderful time. The attention to detail is amazing. You must travel on the railway and don't forget to wave at the aliens as you go past. More

Cockington Green Gardens is a wonderful miniature world located 15km north of the Canberra city centre at Gold Creek Village, just off the Barton Highway, and clearly signposted. Most humans find miniature reproductions of aspects of their world fascinating, whether they be miniature villages, model trains, dolls or doll houses. Cockington Green has all of these spread over five acres.... More

We thought we would come here because a friend recommended it. It was a nice way to end our long weekend. The miniature houses and displays were very well constructed and the international display area was like seeing all the worlds best landmarks in the one convenient location, only a lot smaller. An added bonus was the train ride which... More

I was concerned the kids and hubby would find this very cute little place boring... but NO! They were totally captivated by it. Lovely staff too! Look out for funny little quirky bits and pieces as you are going around the gardens. The staff who set up each scene really let their sense of humour shine through. This place is... More

A little taste of the British Isles without having to leave Australia! The miniature houses were lovely and the gardens were beautifully kept, with everything miniature and in keeping with the theme; there were some amusing 'jokes' around the place too, to keep you interested e.g. the little figurine of the Grim Reaper in the little churchyard. Great fun. The... More

The miniatures are well created and the gardens very well maintained. The children also enjoyed the mini train ride very much. More

When you enter the grounds of Cockington Green filled with miniature English cottages, manors, farms, church, fields and model figurines depicting people in everyday village activities, one can imagine Gulliver's experience in Lilliput. Besides the original English village theme, there is an international section showcasing the architecture in miniature of various countries around the world including Greece, Indonesia, Columbia, Czech... At first glance this place is pretty kitsch and twee. But look closer, there are some real gems of scenes hiding in the foliage. Keep your eyes open for the murder scene, the guy on the bog, and the fella dangling from the roof!? More
