What a great way to cross the harbour. They run on time and are fairly quick. The views are stunning.

Manly was lovely. Have been to Sydney three times now and tried each time to get to Manly. Two previous times it was torrential rain. Finally on the third try we got there. It was worth the wait. The ferry ride was great. Manly teriffic.

we took the ferry and it was approximately 1/2 hour ride..beautiful scenery the whole trip..once in Manly, we shopped til we dropped, then off to the beautiful beach, about a 10 minute walk from ferry terminal..back to ferry terminal and had the best fish & chip of our lives at the restaurant at the terminal..

no visit to Sydney would be complete without this crossing of the harbour to end up in Manly for a great day of shopping, cafe culture and beach/walk

One of the must-dos in a Sydney trip, whether you are a beach fan or not. It just takes a ferry ride to get into a more laid-back, and relax vibe away from the city centre. And the ride offers a panoramic view of the surrounding islands (look out for the Governor-General of Australia's seafront home) Shopping and food on... More

In my opinion, the Manly Ferry serves 2 purposes: get to Manly Beach and get one of the best views of Sydney Harbour. It may not seem like the cheapest trip, but it is worth every penny to see the Opera House and Harbour Bridge together to get that perfect postcard picture.

Taking the ferry in Circular Quay is like taking the metro in other cities: this is usual. So let's go for it: grab a ticket and enjoy one of the close destinations, like Manly, Watson Bay, etc You will have a great view of the bridge, opera and the CBD. And even have the luck to cross ways with some... More

They could really do with organising this most popular of ferry trips so it's not so much of a crush! ...sooo many people all wanting to move at once. I felt sorry for those with children in pushchairs. Sunny weekends it's packed. avoid if you have little ones!

Just jump on the Manly ferry and enjoy the views!! Make sure to book a round trip ticket. On the way to Manly, we had a spot at the front of the boat. This was great for photos and sightseeing. On the way back, the weather was not as nice. We opted for an inside seat. Many who had braved... More
