We had excellent weather for the entire walk and were breathless not from the walking, which is very easy going, but from the spectacular vistas from the entire walk.
I have done this walk countless times. It only takes a couple of hours if you stroll. You can stop at Tamarama beach on the way for a swim . The beach has life guards. It is an amazing walk that hugs the coast line.
This is an awesome walk with the most incredible views. Choose a sunny day, take your water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and your swimming gear and go for a walk. Then have a swim at any of the beaches you pass or in the giant rockpools, then walk back and drop in on one of the many cafe's along the beach... More
Beautiful and lovely hike--highly recommended. Peaceful, not crowded. Don't forget your camera. This is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. And so easy to grab a bus back if you decide to bail somewhere along the way.
Catch the bus out to Coogee and enjoy this fabulous cliff top walk. Take your swim gear with you as there are plenty of opportunities to cool down in one of the sea fed pools or the sea itself. Recommended.
I agree with others that the scenery is spectacular, but a word of warning for those of us who find high rise steps difficult. There are some major sets of stairs,with very high risers. Both of these beaches are amazing. Spectacular water and waves, beautiful sand and beautiful people. Visit both beaches for at least a day. Lots of places to eat and get drinks. Both will be a memorable part of your visit to Sydney. The walk from one to the other is all about taking pictures...both with your camera and your minds... More
