The Manly beach is great. It is near the shops and cafes and is long and clean. Everything you want from a beach. We were staying in Manly so it was handy but still worth a visit and only a short walk from the ferry.

Best fish & chips ever had.. shops are very shopper friendly.. some upper scale and the rest perfect for that special souvenir.

Noosa and Manly both have something special for me - hard to define - but they both feel more natural than the concrete jungle of Bondi. Fortunately I wasn't traveling with my family, but I had walked from the ferry directly to the beach and found a spot, by 1pm, I realized that this prime spot was topless. There is a family friendly spot about a 100 meters down the beach.

Manly seemed liked the perfect beach for the avid SUPer or the beginner surfer. The weather was too cold when we visited for us to do this, but there were some die-hards out there. The experienced surfers are on the more adventuresome beaches

Too many people but nice to have a nice beach close by and still enjoy amenities, nice place to chill with friends, go for a walk and ejoy the sunshine

Manly beach is just as good if not better than Bondi Beach. You can get the Manly Ferry from the city and it only takes around 35 mins. Manly has lots of great restaurants from take aways to fine dinning. Well worth a visit .

This ticks all the boxes when the weather is nice and sunny and the sea is calm. Water is very clean and the beach is fine golden sand - ideal to relax, do some sunbathing, then take a good swim. If it's a bit more windy you could walk SE along the promenade to Shelley Beach for more shelter.

So, you have toured the city centre of Sydney, made good use of the decent metro system, and happily snapped away at the Harbour Bridge.
