Not the prettiest beach to look at, and the shops / hotels along the foreshore don't offer a lot of interest. The walk around the beach is great. The waves can be great for swimming, depending on the tides.

I love Coogee and Coogee Beach and used to work around here. It's a smaller version of Bondi without allbeing over-run with tourists, and a great spot to start your Coogee-Bondi coastal walk. Great restaurants, great pubs and cafes, like a small town in the middle of the city, it's perfect.

Popular surf beach south of Bondi. Clean. Bit big for me. I prefer the cosy Tamarama or Bronte. It has park right up to the pedestrian path with the road well back from the beach. There are not enough trees for me.

Coogee is a great place to visit but it has become expensive and parking is impossible. You can now park in park and pay areas but its the same price as parking in the City. Food is expensive. The beach itself is great and safe to swim most of the time. Always swim between the RED and YELLOW flags.
