Watson's Bay is just beautiful! There is a great pub, a really famous restaurant and the most amazing views of the city and rocky shores you can only imagine. Get a ferry out there, grab a kayak, have a walk, but my favourite thing to do is grab some takeaway fish and chips and a six pack of beer and... More

There are some great Pubs and Restaurants at Watsons Bay, and walks around the Sydney Headlands to boot. If on the weekend the Watson's Bay Hotel is an institution overlooking Sydney Harbour on a hot afternoon.

After staying 4 times in Sydney I can say: Watson´s bay is my favorite place . You go there by ferry, find beautiful, calm beaches, walks along the coast with views on Port Jackson and the Tasman Sea. Just wonderful. While having a drink or a lovely meal at "Doyles on the beach" you look over the water and see... More

Stunning views of the Gap, but that's about all at Watson's Bay. As far as having Doyles fish and chips (takeaways)...give it a miss!!!

We arrived at Watson's Bay after walking along the southern side of the harbour from Edgecliff. Watson's Bay welcomed us with a lovely park full of people enjoying picnics. We took in the wonderful view back towards the city. We enjoyed a well earned drink at the WB pub. There are many eating options from cafes, takeaway fish and chips,... More

If taking Captain Cook's Hop on Hop off ferry, head right out to the Watson's Bay stop. As you exit the ferry, make a luncheon reservation at Doyle's (or better yet do this ahead of time) hoping for an outside table on the bay then head up,through a delightful park out to the bluffs and headlands as Sydney Harbor enters... The ferry ride was not fantastic, the view on the ferry isn't as good as the Manly ferry. Once in Watson's Bay we were unable to find a decent breakfast place (on a Sunday morning). Decent breakfast would have been a coffee with eggs on toast.
