Loved it! Half expected to see a camel! Haha, a little inland desert, with a view of the ocean, what more can you ask for? Definite must see on Fraser Is.

As the dune is gradually filling in the lake, you better go take a look. Its a nice walk in from either end so just do it. We are local and drag all our visitors to this lake and none leave disappointed. Yes the water is not blue like McKenzie, but its still spectacular all the same with its high...

You should wear shoes, aussies are used to no shoes but i needed them. Amzing views & lovely water. Pleasantly surprised.
This offers visitors a great fitness effort. There is a significant climb to the lake along a path and then down some magnificent sand hills. The trip back to the carpark gives you an idea of the distance travelled down. The views are breathtaking.
As the reviewers have stated, this lake is fantastic and well worth the trek which is about 2.5km from the beach through the forest. You arrive hot and sweaty so its a a great treat to plunge into the clear mineral water. GREAT TIP: If you are staying on the island overnight visit the lake before the ferries start arriving....

Take the right habd fork to arrive at the top of the dune. Do not descend, along to the far end where you sould take to 30min walk to the lookout about the lake. Afterwards you can get your reward with a great swim in the lake. Fresh water and a pleasant temperature.
Beautiful walk, fun sandblow, divine cool refreshing lake. Don't visit in the heat of the day, and take lots of water

One of the highlights of Fraser Island for me. It took a bit of hike to get there but once you get to the top of that sand dune and look down upon the lake you just forget about the trek! Make sure you visit here on your trip!
A long 2.5 Km walk in soft sand and up hill to arrive but worth the trip and then all down hill home. Water the most brilliant green.
