In fairness, the tank with the sharks and rays in it was pretty cool, but this was pretty much the only feature. There was a tank with seahorses, and a few fish, and a couple of turtles and that was about it. It took us 45 minutes to get through the whole thing and only then because we bumped into... More

This is a wonderful place to take children, an education in all things marine, however it's a very small area and it could cost less

On a rainy day in Melbourne this was a good pastime to see all the amazing sea creatures. It is nicely laid out for good viewing of all the tanks and a nice variety of different species.

The place is very small and you can view the entire place in about 2 hours. I didn't feel that it was worth the entry price

We visited Melbourne Aquarium and were disappointed to find that a very large portion of the facility is undergoing renovation. There are no notices informing customers of the renovation nor do they offer a discount, although I did hear afterwards if you complain they will give a small refund. What is available for viewing is good but not worth the... More

We've been here a number of times and have always enjoyed it. As there are 5 of us it is expensive to get in the door. The last time my brother went (April 2013) a good deal of the place was under repair/closed. He wasn't told about this and only found out after paying. May be a good idea to... More

I think 35 aud is too much for this. They have good collection of sea horses. Rest all was average. You might get lucky sometimes they give extra tickets free. Myki card gets you 20% discount.

They are currently doing a lot of renovations at the aquarium. This means that a lot is closed off and you can be in and out in less than an hour. You are still charged full price. They offer you a return visit for free, but you have to use it before the renovations are opened to the public mid... More

Charging a fortune to customers to enter a building site is a disgrace and the Aquarium should be ashamed of itself. Yes the penguins are great, but halve your prices until you have a venue that justifies the cost to your customer!

Whizzed through - nothing compared to Sydney Aquarium, but love that it's conveniently on Flinders Street and staff were friendly. The staff were VERY passionate about working there and delighted to share what they knew - it was really nice to see in a big city where people can tend to be very distant. The butterfly was my favourite -... More
