We were surprised at how lovely this park was. Lots of flowers and trees of many varieties. Lots of people having a picnic in the area. A pretty creek runs through the area. Lots of birdlife. Very green. The Grove of the Unforgotten I'm memory of 88 Young Australian League members killed in WWI is beautiful with waterfall and water... More

Araluen Botanic Park is one of those hidden gems that is not widely recognized as being a brilliant attraction. Not only does it have the location do die for but it also has the most diverse range of splendid flora around. Just nestled in the Roleystone hills it has a certain warmth about it. The restaraunt Chalet Healy Tearooms and... More

Just 30 minutes from Perth CBD we often take guests from Southern River Bed & Breakfast to Araluen to see the wildflowers, walk amongst the gardens, by the babbling creek and to partake in Devonshire tea at the cafe. On the return trip to Gosnells, we stop off at the local Kangaroo haunt, where families of Kangaroos can be seen... More

We usually visit Araluen Botanic Park during the Tulip Festival but went in November. It was still lovely with the roses and late flowering wildflowers. The walk around the park can be quite taxing with all the stairs but worth the effort to see the varying landscapes. I would suggest that you take a picnic lunch although there are the... More

I have just got back from Araluen botanic gardens. It isn't a place that is well advertised so i'm glad i did manage to come across it. I was quite surprised, even though the pictures on their website did look nice, so i was expecting something nice. It took about an hour from Fremantle. We went via Armadale and found... More

The park is well worth the visit, great if you want to wander through the spring flowers, or pack a picnic and take the family for a relaxing afternoon on the lawned area. Only downfall is the tea-rooms, which have seen better days and the service wasn't up to standard on the day we went (they hadn't learnt how to... More

This is a magnificent and tranquil botanic garden, set on 60 hectares. A highlight is the blooming of the tulips each Spring. Well worth a visit for the peace and tranquility of the gardens. More
