If you want to take a nice walk through a city park, don't forget to stroll this way. The domain has gorgeous old trees and superb greenery. You can walk through here and get to the Auckland Museum. There are taxis parked by the museum if you want to get a ride back out to downtown.

A green, hilly oasis in a wonderful city. Fascinating and varied vegetation. Lots of paths. Quiet and peaceful. Plenty of seats. Wonderful views. And Auckland Museum stands above it. We need places like this.

Like any large city, there is lots to see. Friendly people make this a pleasant experience but the real beauty of Auckland is her outlying islands. Not only are they worthy of visiting but the city looks fantastic from the water.

Auckland domain is a beautiful expanse of lawn and woods with beautiful views , climb slowly up to see the majestic museum perched upon the top of the hill ! The winter garden is beautifull as is the fernery !

I managed to get a bit lost finding my way out of this park but it was worth while. The winter garden was a delight. Walking up towards the Museum on a sunny day was a pleasure. There were large open areas and plenty of trees for shade.

Very clean, beautiful park with a cool trail system perfect for running/walking/etc. Pretty lake along the trail.

Walk the sculpture path, visit the winter gardens, use the cafe, have a picnic, walk the bush, visit the museum, play cricket or football. What you would expect of a larger city park.

The Maori exhibit in the museum is well worth exploring. Close by is the aborateum (sp?) - lots of flowers in two lovely hot/cool houses Great cafe accross the street from the flowers! great walks & perhaps cricket?

We took a picnic and sat under the trees by the duck pond. Lots of walks available and a tropical winter garden conservatory.Great open spaces for kids to run around.
