Clean, close, just beautiful. We are so lucky to have this harbour in our back yard. So easy to get to.

Well Laid out with information easy to find. Streets are very clean. Beautiful part of New Zealand, a must see
The harbour is nice to stroll around in, we went at the start of winter so it was lovely and chilled out but must get pretty manic during summer. Every building is trying to sell you gifts, tickets, food etc...There are a few nice benches to sit and check out the view and people watch.
we went on the fast ferry to the Hole in the Rock, very good. Excellent trip, and lots to see on the way
Friendly, helpful people, great food options and a load of activities. The cafes on the wharf offered excellent food at really reasonable prices. The shopping area was quite touristy, but that's to be expected!
The sun was out, the sea calm and a wonderful sight. Very clean. welcoming part of the coastline and if you have time a lovely place to walk around.
Took a cruise with Fullers around the harbour and to the hole in the rock at cape Brett - fantastic time viewing 2 pods of dolphins and also orcas, seals and stingrays. Great commentary both historical and nothing was too much trouble - plenty of time to view the unexpected sights.
beautiful spot- shoulder season so not very crowded. Spent afternoon in Russel and did boat tour to Hole in the Rock.
A cosy little place, lovely waterfront shops and restaurants. Efficient ferry terminal and a nice stroll viwing the beautiful bay.
ON time smooth ride no problems a delight to be on the harbour. Found entry to ferry easily ticket lady very good.
