Fantastic, massive trout, interesting wild life and a awesome adventure ride that was better then expected - on par with a Disneyland ride - perfect for families to visit.

The park is well laid out and maintained. The fish are in pristine water so that it looks like a glass top to a fish tank. There are many birds in cages as well as a few reptiles. There is a "splash" ride which meanders around sub-tropical "forest" with dinosaurs thrown in which is good for kids of all ages....

The bird show was fantastic. The park is terrifically landscaped with a splash ride included (optional!). We paid an extra $10 each for Kiwi encounter, a great tour of the Kiwi enclosure and we got to see some Kiwi close up. A must for animal/nature lovers.
We did the night tour of the park as part of the cultural dinner next door. This is not worth the money and by far the most disappointing activity we did on our trip. Maybe at daytime it is better.
Although not technically wild it was great to see the kiwi which is what new zealand is famous for. The centre offers a place for the birds and helps to keep numbers in the wild high which is great.
Theres plenty other things to see here too including a variety of birds, reptiles and fish, with activities for kids if...

very expensive, not worth your money at all. you have to come back and see the kiwis at night which could be very inconvenient for tourists, we had seen the whole park in about an hour. it cost us $38 each for hardly anything
We went with friends (we're all in our 20's) and were disappointed. For $40 we didn't feel we got our money's worth.
If, at another point on the trip you're going to be in Wellington, their zoo is $21 (adults) and has just as many Kiwis and a more exciting supporting cast of animals.
Half of this place was a...

We did enjoy the walk around and of course the water ride. We were not there to see any of the shows unfortunately as we had not thought to check times before we went. If there had been children with us we may have waited around but as 4 adults we were not inclined to stay just for that. Would...

Great wildlife, but as the entry tickets are pricey make sure you arrive early enough in the day to see all the free animal events. Our kids loved the Big Splash ride and went on it 5 times so we were pleased unlimited rides are included in the entry price. Would haved rated the Park higher but as we arrived...

We visited in the first week of the school holidays. We paid extra to do the kiwi tour, and came back in the evening to see the kiwi in the enclosure outside. This was great, and we were really pleased we made the effort to do this. The park is different by night, lit up by coloured lights, and the...
