A great way to learn some NZ political history new and old. A fantastic tour that was FREE! Court houses are across the road plus you can sit on the lawns or chairs with a coffee or even a sandwich. Lovely atmosphere.

Surprisingly interesting and not too much explanations. The parliamentory part is probably more interesting for NZ visitors but I was enthralled by the explanations of the earthquake resistant provisions that were realised.

Easy tour to take and not overly long. I would incorporate if I had 2 hrs to use as it does give you the feel of history albeit new in comparison to many other countries.

a lovely place to walk around with lovely laid out grounds some were you can sit a have your lunch and just watch the world go by.and the location is so central.

I went on a free tour of the parliament buildings which included the old parliament building, the executive building (the beehive) and the old parliamentary library. Well worth the visit. Tours leave on the hour from 10am.

We enjoyed a free guided history tour around parliament buildings & saw a NZ invention, the earthquake prevention bearings that sit under the buildings .Tour guide was excellent ; she was very articulate. Didn't get to take the tour, but just went up the stairs and sat in the Gallery to listen to the debate. Fascinating perspective on New Zealand society, entertaining debate, beautiful room.
