I decided last year to propose to my girlfriend and wanted to do something very special given that we were going to New Zealand for a 2 week holiday in April. Being the big romantic I wanted it to be an experience of our lifetime but also in an intimate but spectacular location....why not do it up on a mountain... More

The best experience ever! Well worth the dosh. Borrow the money if you can't afford it because you really shouldn't miss this! Helicopters don't normally fly with less than four people. They did us a special flight with the two of us, pared down a bit (to make it pay probably) which amounted to a charter. We landed on the... More

We took the helicopter on the Grand Circle flight. Amazing and worth every cent! Landing on the Glacier, getting out and walking around was incredible. So peaceful and quiet as the pilot shuts down the engine to the helicopter. If you can afford it - don't even give it a second thought - just do it! Hint - It is... More

Don't hesitate to do this it is worth every dollar. I researched the chopper they use and it is the best in the businesses for this type of work. The pilot Mark was just fabulous - the confidence and ease with which he pilots the chopper means you can concentrate on having fun instead of being worried. Views are spectacular... More

A once in a lifetime experience but if I was to go back to NZ I would certainly do it again. Pricey but worth every cent. Pilot was very knowledgeable. Scenery is breathtaking and landing on the glacier and experiencing the absolute quiet (after the engine was shut off) and the pristine freshly fallen snow. Flying in a small plane... More

Having traveled all over the world, this was truly one of the most breathtaking experiences we have ever had. The majestic mountain scenery, landing on the beautiful pristine glacier in a ski plane, the friendly commentary from the pilot for the children. At 7 and 10, they still talk about the experience with everyone they meet. More

Taking off on a tiny plane, going low over the mountains and then landing on a glacier has to be one the of the most amazing experiences....then to stand there on top of the world - unreal - breathtaking and so silent. More

We really wanted to do this when we visited New Zealand last year, as the area around the Southern Alps is stunning enough from the ground. This time we had the money to do it so decided to go ahead and pay for the most expensive flight, as it included a glacier landing. Right from the off it was the... More

Do you ever feel as though you are living one of your dreams? This was it for me. As the helicopter skirted alongside Mt. Cook, I thought for a second that I was in one of those nature documentaries on the Discovery channel. Seriously, this experience was inspirational. We arrived on an exceptional windy day and wondered about air-sickness. However,... More
