OK - We are suckers for these little creatures. It was slow on our day there, however, you cannot fault them for that and it is a good thing right? We would do anything to see more Koala and we really loved our trip! More

You can see Koalas everywhere in Australia, including the wild if you know where to look. But this facility is a little special. They really care for these wonderful animals and help them all they can. Not swank, not touristy. The main purpose is to help the Koalas. Go for a look, make a donation and give 'em some love.... For an entertaining visit, this can't be beaten. Apart from this, it doesn't cost anything much. This is an educational icon in Port Macquarie. Visitors can see the koalas, look into the hospital "ward", talk to the dedicated volunteers, and just enjoy the peace and quiet in this little area of Port Macquarie. Koalas of all ages, sizes and health... More

A most informative visit. Our group learnt a lot about koalas and the great work done by the volunteers.Adopting a koala is a most rewarding experience, with excellent, prompt follow-up from the staff. More

The Koala Hospital is well worth a visit to increase awareness of the great work being carried out by a group of dedicated volunteers. An informative guided tour and video presentation are both available. A small souvenir shop and a Sponsor-a Koala programme help with the fundraising for this establishment. More

It was a really informative place. We never realised how much work or the scope of the job that these dedicated people do. Great place to take the kids - quite interactive. More

If you don't know much about koalas, this is a great way to learn firsthand. The koalas are clearly visible to children, and each koala is clearly labelled with relevant information. There is a small shop that sells snacks, free pamphlets about koalas and how to get involved if you wish to support the hospital's work. The grounds are really... More

This is a great place to visit while in Port Macquarie and it's free!! The hospital does an amazing job of looking after injured and sick koalas. The volunteers are fantastic and at 3.00pm take you on a short tour explaining all about their work and showing you the koalas. Small gift shop and donation boxes available. More
