We went to the zoo early in the morning, so there were only very few people and we were able to view everything without the pushing and shoving like in other crowded zoos. This zoo rates poorly in my view. No seniors, students or pensioners concessions available ( I am none of these). Many enclosures were either not labeled or mis-labeled or animals were not there - eg koalas. The main reason we visited the zoo was to see the Tasmanian Devil! We thought it was great being able to see all the wildlife that live in Tassie plus a few ring in Monkeys. Can't wait until they finish thier renovations and get in some more animals. Great spot to take the kids for the day!

Needs urgent government funding. Very lame. Marketing should reflect the incorrectly named "zoo" as a wildlife park with outdated enclosures. Devil feeding was enjoyable. But still extremely overpriced for what you actually get out of it. Cost $80 or so for a family of two adults and two children. Overall greatly disappointing.
