Attended over the weekend and it was a nice day out but was appalled at how the skipper of the boat would speak to the Overseas tourists on board. Talking at them as if they are stupid. Assuming we too were foreign asks us a question in the slow speaking stupid accent he would to the tourists and we replied... More

We went on Big Fury in February 2013 and really enjoyed it. The guys on board gave us lighthearted and interesting facts on the trip out and back about the various islands in the Whitsundays. The snorkelling was ok but slightly let down by the overcast weather on this part of the trip. We stopped off at Whitehaven Beach which... More

Our group got on this tour as part of a GSL aviation package which combines a 25min scenic flight of the Whitsunday islands with a cruise to Border Island and Whitehaven Beach. We were originally supposed to go with Cruise Whitsundays ($155/adult) which goes to Hamilton Island + Whitehaven Beach. However, when we found the package in the GSL aviation... More

Great value for $100.Staff was great, fast boat ride out and back allowing more liesure time at the reef and beach. Bought tickets at tourist tickets shop in Airlie Beach during the week for next day tour. PU from hotel was late but boat departed marina on time. Lunch was well organized and well served. Prawns, meats, cheeses, fresh salads... More

There were parts of this tour that were very good but overall the attitude of the staff is the biggest let down. They are clearly just going through the motions and would really rather be somewhere else.... My partner had a beard and when snorkelling before we have had to use paw paw to ensure the mask sticks.. When I... More

Cheapest in any sense. The tour started with taking their advice on renting suits against the dangerius jelly fishes and surprisingly no one told us where to take them from so at the end we were without those suits. When we told the young and "funny" host on board about the suits he said it was our fault .! After... More

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, although I do not agree with your comments regarding your experience on board. There may have been a miscommunication or language barrier perhaps regarding collection of your stinger suits, but everyday every guest that hires a stinger suit is fitted with their correct size at check in and... Out of all the Whitsundays day trip this one seems to be the cheapest, however if you look around in Airlie Beach main strip some backpacker tour operators will offer even cheaper prices. Not fair for people who book in advance before they arrive at Airlie beach. Now back to our review, in the order of time. 1. Pick up,... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide feed back on your recent Big Fury tour. I am not quite sure when you took the tour with us but looking at the photos it would appear to have been right after the big storm we had last week, which cause debris like tree branches and leaves to be washed up... Don´t worth at all the place to snorkelling that this tour do. It is dirty water, no fish, no visibility, plenty yelly fish. Other tours go to better places to snorkelling, Don´t pay for nothing They don´t clean the wet suit that you have to paid 7 dolars. They don´t drop you after the tour to your hotel, other tour... I am sorry to read that you did not feel your Big Fury Whitsunday's cruise was worth the money. However I must correct you on your misconceptions regarding your recent tour. The snorkelling bay we visited during your cruise was Cataran Bay at Border Island and is one of the nicest snorkelling locations in the Whitsunday Islands, with a plentifulness... More

Fantastic day onboard Big Fury! Picked up from close to our hostel by the very friendly Bluey. We were offered a stinger suit before boarding, my wife took one, I opted against it and was fine for the whole day, lots of jelly fish however non that can harm or sting you. It was fun whizzing over the waves passing... More

Good evening and thanks for taking the time to offer your honest feedback on the Big Fury cruise. Your assessment of the weather conditions on the day and their impact on the water conditions for snorkelling are very accurate. On windy days, when the water is choppy, Big Fury offers a real fun cruise jumping over the waves, however on... More

10.05am Pick-up from Adventure Whitsunday, 5 mins late, in Big Fury minibus for Sightseeing Cruise (Adult $130pp (£86). 10.13, at Abel Point Marina, and paid $7pp to a clipboard girl for hire of stinger suits. Given suits by an Andy Murray look-alike (he talked exactly like Andy, except with an Australian accent, but he did look like him too!). 10.25,... More
