I have been to the Photoplasticon now several times - and I totally enjoy the experience each and every time. It is like stepping back in time - once you go through the red curtain, time has gone back about 100 years! This time we got to see the old school 3D pictures of Italy. They change out the exhibit... An absolute blast from the past, the Photoplasticon is a must-see. An old-school 3D image viewing, they rotate their exhibit regularly, and the exhibit rotates every few seconds, so that you see all the images while sitting on your stool.

Going past those red velvet curtains and sitting down in front of the round viewing apparatus really takes you back in time. It is quite an unique experience and hardly costs anything.

The Photoplasticon is certainly worth visiting! You can see the pictures of the city from before the war, as well as the most recent history of Solidarity and martial law in Warsaw, and every picture is described (place it was taken and the date, sometimes just approximate if the photo is really very old) in Polish as well as in... The Fotoplastikon is interesting, but I could not appreciate fully the meaning of the pictures which are presented, because I didn't know the history behind them and no information is provided.

amazing place, tiny museum with old photos, temporary exibitions, in the very center of Warsaw, even if you have one hour being close to Palace of Culture & Science or Central Station, you can go there, it's 5 minutes by walking, up to half an hour of time vehicle. I really recommend it :)

It is a special place in which you can travel in time to the past years watching places and people on old photos from XIX and XX century. If you enjoy you will found here magic atmosphere. One of those " must to be" places.

There is not much to see, just a few 100 year old 3D photos, but it is something unique and it's free.

My tour guide took me there - It's pretty hard to find that place by yourself. We've been there on Sunday, the day when you can see some pictures of Warsaw from before World War I. They're fantastic! While wathing pictures you can hear old Polish (at a guess..) songs, which make this place even more old fashioned.

This is one of the few original Photoplasticons in Europe! A photoplasticon is a machine that makes you watch 3D pictures taken in the beginning of XX century. It's a magic experience that everyone should have while being in Warsaw. The museum changes exhibitions from time to time, eg when I went they had "Old Warsaw"... it was amazing to... More
