Not the longest of tours but well worth it to see inside this stunning building and the Hungarian crown jewels.
Last year we tried to visit the parliament but all days were sold out during our stay. This year we checked trip advisor on our arrival and booked on line as advised. The area around the parliament is being redeveloped so it is a big mess outside and it is rather difficult to access the area. The tour lasted about... More
The building alone is magnificent, seen from the outside, be it day or night. Inside, it is equally splendorous. The admission fee (for EU citizens) is only 1750 HUF and includes a guided tour. You can take pictures (except in the dome room, where the crown jewels are). You´ll have to be patient because there is a bit of waiting... More
They were doing construction outside when we went so it took away a little but when went inside for the 50 min tour and it was ok. I thought we would see more of it but still nice.
The Parliament building is very impressive. They are rightfully proud of the heritage and history displayed inside and out. We enjoyed the tour, artworks and details of the building. Outside is a bit of a maze with all the construction but even that is an impressive undertaking. Just watch your step and remember this is a working goverment building and... More
All the surroundings of the parliament were a construction site, which ruin the beuty of the building. And I read in 2 guides books than entrance was free for EU citizens, that's not true, just a discount so we didn't get in. Maybe it's a contribution to these renovations.
Our Hungarian tour guide had great English so this was informative & easy to enjoy. The construction underway makes getting in/out quite a trek - don't be put off though!
After many years of renovation the impressive facade of that building can be seen without any scaffolds now and I really enjoyed the view from the pier in Buda. Especially in the afternoon you have a great view. I heard an old couple from Austria saying: "Now it shines in new splendor." and they also mentioned that they saw it... More
Booked our tour the day before on line as the tours fill quickly & its the only way to see the building. Interesting tour with plenty of information but you only see 3/4 rooms, would of liked to see more. The rooms we saw were beautiful & very impressive. Worth the visit even if the tour seemed brief.
