Very nice way to say goodbye to the South Island. Beautiful scenery before heading out into the ocean. (Not quite the same as Doubtful tho',)

Had a fabulous 7 hour day traveling through the country side of Picton and through Arthur's pass. Extraordinary scenery but with a photographer's point of view. Took great shots thanks to the photo tips by Doug Houston, who picked us up at the ship on our private tour and took us to incredible photo spots. Great fun and great shots.

Nice views, shame about the pines on the hills and some hills bare of bush.

Fabulous and accessible walks. Great maps freely available at alot of different locations. Signs to and around the walks very easy to follow,

So lovely just to sit and watch the boats and water taxis in the harbour there.

Lovely and peaceful but with things to do if we felt like it. So calming after the hustle and bustle of city life. Will be back
