This is the best left in northern new england. We kayak the river several times each year and have been for the last 7 years. I grew up in Northern NH and have just recently returned to live here. First of all, the Androscoggin doesn't empty into Lake Umbagog, it's head waters start at the lake and the lake empties into the river.
