We love to ski and Aspen never disappoints. An excellent mountain with great, challenging runs. Also nice because there are fewer snow-boarders here, making it a joy to ski.

The ride up is 18 minutes and what looks to be the top from the bottom is only half way. Once at the top the views are breathtaking. The weather was great and the crowds were not over bearing. The restaurant was delicious and had board games for the patrons. Simply a delight.

This is best visited in the warmer months. I did not go there this trip due to cold and weather. I have not seen the upgrades that have been made, but the original is worth visiting. it's a pleasant walk along a trail with the creek running next to it. His songs on the large stones are a great tribute... More

My favorite mountain to ski...Love the Sundeck, the gondola, the Ajax Tavern at the base...Mountain Ambassadors are just that - diplomatic presences who will guide you in all the right directions...

I always eat several meals here during my trips, the food is good, the service is also good and the people watching is my favorite. I have seen Rob Lowe here, with his family, Kevin Costner, I met John Denver years ago. Great place

I ski on Aspen Mountain almost every day. I love it for a variety of reasons. First It's uncrowded by design. 2nd its Steep. 3rd. I know where all the POW stashes are. As the #1 Ski Bum / Blogger in Aspen... you can trust me.

Though I don't ski Ajax very often, I was enticed to ski with friends on a backcountry adventure with the Aspen Powder Tours. I couldn't have been more delighted and impressed. Murray, Piglet, Doc and the whole crew were so delightful and pleasant. The terrain was UNBELIEVABLE!!! We had 18-22 inches of fresh, untracked powder everywhere we went. We skied... More

Skied here - the ambassadors were great, the powder was wonderful, the slopes were quiet, friendly lift staff. Totally great - it was very sunny there every day so make sure you wear sunscreen!

If you come to ski Aspen, I recommend skiing Highlands or Snowmass. Aspen Mountain (Ajax) is very steep and has a funnel effect down the front. It is a very steep mountain and you will find lower level skiiers trying to ski it and they make it dangerous as they criss- cross across the front of the mountain as it... More
