This state park is a bit of a trek - took us two buses and one taxi to get there - but was definitely worth the trip. From the viewing gallery - where you can enjoy a chocolate ice cream! - you get a lovely, panoramic view of the various hills that make up the capital. off in the distance... More

We saw the statue and drove around for about 45 min until we figured our way up there. There are no street signs and no signs telling you where it is! Once you're there you park where you think it might be, and then end up walking another 300 meters until you get to the next park entrance. You have... More

It's excellent for picnic and spend time with friends and family. It's better to take a mosquito repelent..

i was surprised by how clean and well kept. the park is nice with large green areas and trails. you see families with there kids. and near the statue there are very nice gardens. but the most impressive thing is the view. very incredible. you can see the whole city.

An idealic park in the cool pine forest overlooking Tegucigalpa. A must-see for any first time visitor to get the big and best view of the city.

Probably one of the few safe places to visit in Tegucigalpa, if you like taking photos, and travel with an expensive gear. The view from up the top of the hill is very beautiful, so if you missed booking a window-seat while flying to Teguc, you'll be impressed by the city scape. It's a relevantly safe family-friendly place to visit... More

El Cristo de Picacho is a lovely landmark in the mountains of Tegucigalps heading up to El Hatillo. Your winding road provides breathtaking vistas of the city below. Once you arrive, be sure to visit the United Nations mini botanical gardens and if you have children continue on to the zoo. The cool breezes are almost always blowing and make... More

This is a great place to hang out but be sure you are with locals that will watch out for you if you're a gringo tourist, aka target. The park is full of nice surprises, gardens, monuments, even a pyramid. Be prepared to walk a lot and bring you camera.
