While the museum is relatively small (located on the second floor of an office building), it's nicely furnished and certainly provides a wide array of American art from the civil war to the 21st century.

The Morris Museum surprised me with its well-thought out exhibits of art relating to the Southern experience. The quality of the overall collection is higher than what I had expected to see in a regional art museum and displayed multiple perspectives of the history of the South. Nice to have a place of culture in the neighborhood. They have wonderful "hands on" events for families on Sundays. A family "must" to look into.
Located on the second floor of an office building, which was kind of strange, but a nice collection of art, certainly worth the visit for anyone who likes museums.
beautiful museum lots to see inside and great views of outside. not good for active little ones as it is an art museum.
lots of beautiful art, and it's right here in Augusta...and on Sundays, it's FREE! How can you beat that?!? and...they have lots of kids classes that are free on Sundays too...check them out...they're super fun!
We decided to come in here since it was by the river and it was a little chilly outside. Military and students get in for $3 so we figured why not. It was pretty small and most of the rooms were closed for renovations. I'm not a huge art fan but I thought it could have been a little better.
Located in an office bldg. with access to the Riverwalk this is a much larger museum than it appears to be. It is definitely worth visiting if you are in the area-it is only $3. admission for seniors and free on Sun. Take the elevator to the second floor and spend an hour or two touring the many exhibit rooms
Well organized and well displayed; thoughtful commentary and a very well done setting, especially liked the cork floors which are both luxurious and very quieting
Well planned and very interesting. The nicest building downtown and convenient to Riverwalk. Lady at Visitors' Desk was very helpful.
