The cooking course provides a great combination; a visit to the market where you pick your own chicken to be slaughtered in halal fashion. I'm very much for realising where the food on your plate comes from, so this was an educational part of the experience for me. Her house, where you do the cooking, is great, her assistent (an... We loved our time with Lalla she made us feel welcome and went out of way to make sure we understood everything from the spices and made sure we were paying local prices and not being ripped off as you will find many guides will do for there own benefit. She collected us from the pick up point from the... More

Before writing this review I had a look at the other "Terrible" reviews. I suspect Fatima has taken the negative comments to heart as we had a fabulous afternoon with her. Yes she was late but only 20 minutes and I think allowances should be made for different standards of time-keeping, this is Africa not northern Europe. Unlike some of... More

We love to cook and we had planned to do a morrocan cookery course but cooking with Nezha was far better than we could even have expected. She took us to shop for spices where she explained all the different ones used in Moroccan cuisine. We then went around the market to buy the fish and meat before she took... More

We booked this course through our Riad and were so glad we did. We had a fantastic day (10am-18:30) and made and tried so many dishes in Fatima's lovely garden in her Berber Village. Would highly recommend this course. Make sure you don't have dinner plans for the evening as you won't need any!

We had a super time and the food we made was amazing. We were picked up in the Djemma al Fna square at the Cafe de France and went straight to the Mellah market in the old Jewish quarter to gather spices. We saw them make the Filo dough we used for the goat cheese, potato and herb parcels we... More

As like most have posted on here, it was an excellent experience from trying the spices, gathering our produced and chicken (I will never forget that part!). Fatima was great and the food we cooked was fit for a King! We enjoyed this experience on 20-Mar.

We arranged a cooking class through our Riad with Fatima. She picked us up and we went through the market. We got to sample all of those exotic spices, meet our chicken and watch as it was quickly and expertly skinned by the local butcher, and pick out our vegetables. We drove a 1/2 hour outside the city to her... More

My girlfriend loves to cook and try different recipes, I don't cook that much. We both really enjoyed our day at the cooking class. From the market to the cooking, the meal, location, the hosts and conversations. Everything was great. Would definitely recommend. Loved Marrakech and this was probably the best day!

Right from the get-go Fatima was an absolute joy to listen to and learn from. Her knowledge of the local souks and spices, insight into Moroccan culture and easy smile made us feel very relaxed, and her beautiful home was a wonderful place to retreat to from the bustle of the medina. In fact, upon returning to each of the... More
