The ceramics museum is an airy, modern building, the audioguide and exhibits were interesting and informative, and the grounds were lovely. Many workshops, hands-on activities, and beatiful gift shops. More

We went to the museum, because it was close. I will tell you, it is a big waste of time. The market streets of Yingge are much more of an attraction and a lot more fun. The pottery shops and kilns have beautiful works and things to buy. More

Just get off at Yingge train station, which is between Taoyuan station and Shanjia station. Yingge is quick trip on the train from Taipei. The walk to the museum from the train station is somewhat obnoxious – as no sidewalk is provided for about half the walk. You are on your own for crossing the roads, as no pedestrian crossing lights are installed. So be careful trying to dart through the busy, fast moving traffic.... More
