Weekend only - weekdays it is a car park. the flowers, live plants, food, imported antiques and jade (China) - bargaining - if you dont speak bring someone who does - it really helps - they can spot a tourist and extra money. there are antique shops on the opposite road side...

Great place to have a wander round and have a look, people watch or pick up some fresh flowers. Beautiful orchids for around NT$150, lots of herbs in pots, big trees, pretty flowers, gardening equipment and more. Not much space in each little stall do don't take big backpacks, you would knock things over! Looking forward to enhancing my cooking...

I've been there in June 2008 on a very hot weekend.
You can find good way descriptions at the Tourist Maps, which are available at the entrances to the Taipei Metro.
The market is located directly under a highway and has something which can be described as an outdoor airconditioning done by artificial drizzle from above, which does a nice...
