I was a bit disappointed with Jatujak market, thought that we would find great bargains in here, it turns out that this place is very touristy place, more tourist flock up to this place to do their shopping thats why the price is a little bit tourist price, a lot of stalls selling pre-owned clothes which i didnt like as... I honestly think that this market, one should only go ONCE in a lifetime UNLESS ur out to make business and to get wholesale prices. If you're just a tourist and just looking around, once is definitely enough. Chatuchak is overcrowded and hot! Make sure you bring comfortable shoes and a backpack for shopping and a fan! Make sure you... More

Chatuchak is only open weekends so it's always packed, hot and sticky..it's popular with tourists and locals so expect to be squashed in the narrow aisles as everyone shops there. Well worth the visit but overwhelming - great for jeans, cutlery, accessories, clothes..you can even buy a new pet! Literally everything you can name is somewhere amongst the stalls..not for... More

We got there on the Skytrain - a breeze. It was a hot Sunday morning. The market was crowded, but not uncomfortably so. Every purchase requires some bargaining - but that's half the fun of Chatuchak. There are comfortable restaurants scattered throughout the complex. When you're shopped out it's great to get into the cool, a/c Skytrain to return to... More

We have been to Chatuchak many times and when we visit Thailand we always make sure we dedicate some time on Saturday or Sunday to go through. It is hot and steamy, very large and diverse and has shopping for almost anything. This is the character of Bangkok, to bargain with the local stall holders and to do it all... More

Chatuchak market offers the best shopping in Bangkok. Its as simple as that - the exception being if you are looking for electronics or mobile phones. Handicrafts, textiles, furniture, pets, food and drink, clothing, leather goods, decorative items, the list of things available is endless at Chatuchak. Access is easy if you get on the MRT and get off at... More

This is an awesome market sheltered by canvasses and tin roofs so although shaded by sun, the heat can be multiplied! You really need a good half day to explore it and im sure een that doesnt cover it all. Only open on a weekend it is a must on a saturday and totally rammed. You really can find anything... More

The Chatuchak Market... wow, what a place that is. I have a few bits of advice from our recent trip there! -It opens early - 7am I think. I'd suggest getting on the skytrain by 8am at the latest to get there early because by noon the place is practically steaming, it is so hot & overcrowded!!!! It's an easy... More
