I visited the Snake farm in May'12 after several delibrations on whether i should or should not make the trip. This place has a huge variety of snakes & they are neatly housed. Within the main building also there many live snakes all around as also specimens preserved in glass containers. The highlight of the show that i was eagerly... More

In addition to the snake farm, the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute (or the Red Cross) is a great place to visit for vaccinations. This is my first choice for updating my vaccinations and the staff is very competent and nice. The prices are also very reasonable and I only pay a fraction of what the vaccinations would cost my in... More

I have been here several times; the last time in February 2012. If you have some time left in Bangkok, it's nice to visit this snake farm. You can combine it with a relaxing stroll in nearby Lumpini Park. The snake farm improved since a few years ago, the museum has undergone a renovation and is a lot bigger then... More

The snake farm has a shows at 11am, where they present 5 snakes (different kind of cobra and others). To see cobra very close to us, freely to move... was interesting and generally nice experience. Would expect to bit more snakes during show, but the demonstration was quiet good. Before the end of the show, you can take a picture... More

I was visiting the QSMI production facility which makes BCG vaccine, and rabies vaccine on the same site, so was able to quickly pop in for free (but the Bt200 is peanuts really) and have a look around, since the production of antivenoms is something I am interested in. Interesting history as this was formerly the Pasteur Institute and is... More

Worth a visit if you have the time but as already mentioned probably not a must see attraction. Lots of snakes on display, a live snake handling show and information on venom extraction and snakes of Thailand both venomous and non-venomous. Probaly more of interest to those who are into snakes unlike myself. Although interesting I must admit I was... More

If you are into snakes (like me), it is very interesting. Not a must see if you are on a tight schedule, but as my university is next door, i often go and have a look at their beautiful animals. If you hate snakes, or are not particular interested, it is not worth the time or money. More

Truly one of the little gems of our visit to Thailand. The main guide was articulate, hugely enthusiastic, engaging and funny. If you're not a fan of snakes obviously one to avoid but it's a really great way of getting up close and personal with Thailand's scaly population - commentary is fun and informative, the snakes are the real thing,...
