If you are new to Bangkok and want to try authentic Thai food in air-conditioned comfort, and speak little or no Thai, and don't want to risk the potential tummy problems of eating at street-side stalls, but don't have the budget for the more expensive restaurants, the Food Court on the 6th Floor of Mahboonkrong (MBK) is your answer. There... More

Well a good place to hunt for souvenirs and snacks you might want to bring home. Place does sell handmade products and stuff to decorate the home with. Most stalls sell the same stuff, but that allows you to walk around and bargain a little. After asking around a few stalls, you will roughly know how low they are willing... More

It's all horses for courses and while I can't stand this place it has it's fans and rightly so. I don't like it because it's dirty, overcrowded, badly laid out and is crammed full of fakes and poorly manufactured goods. That said if you're in the market for the kind of tat I'm describing then it's a much more convivial... More

Quite simply, the best place for shopping but not necessarily the nicest. MBK has everything most tourists are after as well as loads of restaurants, bowling, cinema, internet cafe etc, etc. You can get a full briefing at: Www.thebangkokshoppingguide.com More

While there are some good places here and there, for the most part this is a huge shopping center with a lot of cheap stuff. We went there twice looking for souvenirs for family and friends, and clothing for me. The souvenirs are all similar, from shop to shop, stall to stall; nothing really original. We found much better options... More

Avoid coming here to shop especially for bags becauae the price is just simply crazy. 100 USD for a fake jimmy choo bag?? I'd rather go for some charles & keith. Not to mention the sellers that are super rude when u said u didnn't wanna buy anything. "See for what?". Wow. It didn't use to be like this. Disgusting. More

I have been to Bangkok 5 times and always love coming back to MBK, it's big, busy and reasonably priced. Might not be to everyone's tastes (it can get really busy) but for me it's a great place to shop (for everything from high end camera equpiment to fake tshirts), eat (go to the food court on the 6th floor... If you come to Bangkok and realized that you forget to buy souvenirs for your family back home, just come to this mall. Forget coming to Pat-pong or other tourist places. The prices here are way cheaper compared to other places especially the standard 'Bangkok' t-shirts. Souvenir t-shirts in MBK cost 100 baht without bargain. Cheaper than most places in... More

All 15 women I went with had a blast shopping here. After 4 hours or so, we had only made it through the first 3 stories of this crazy busy place. Yes, many knock-offs and many crowds. Has everything from shoes, scarves, purses, watches, clothes, computer gear, etc. Prices are cheaper though at the Chatuchak Market in Bangkok which is... More
