Even though our business has seen tremendous growth, we have decided that this small class size maintains the personalization and individual attention that each student deserves. Yui (Siripen Sriyabhaya), Thailand's international TV chef still teaches every dish in every class to guarantee the highest quality of instruction. Her expertise attracts a variety of students such as, TV chefs, executive chefs, culinary school teachers, international Thai cooking instructors, food columnists, cookbook authors, tourists, and food lovers.Yui's unique blend of art and science truly make cooking exciting, fun, and easy to follow. When students cook these delicious dishes in class, they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to be able to recreate these dishes at home. « less

A cooking class could be fairly straightforward - an instructor tells you what to do at what time. But there's something about Yui, the owner/instructor at A Lot of Thai, that makes her classes much more than just a "follow-the-leader" kind of class. She has a sense of humor, a can-do-attitude and a simple honesty about her that my wife... More

I recognize the sky blue Volkswagen station wagon and wave hello to Yui on the hotel parking lot. I have been looking forward learning cooking fresh and authentic Thai cuisine with Yui, a self made woman chef that I recognize from the cooking TV show with Gordon Ramsay. What fun to finally meet her! She takes us to her home... More

Went with my mom and aunt and loved it. Yui took us to the Market in the morning which was super interesting. I loved seeing all of the different foods available. We cooked a variety of dishes and all were great and yui's teaching very clear and simple. Couldn't eat everything though. It was really hot and by the end... More

The day started with a surprise, we were picked up from our Guest House by Yui's husband Kwan in an vetran 60's Volkswagen Van. My wife, daughter and I took a full day class with Yui instructing us. On the day we went the class size was only 5 but 8 is the maximum. We were picked up from our hotel at 9.15 and dropped back at 5pm. We learned how to cook 6 Thai dishes including stir fried chicken with cashew nuts and... More

Got picked up in a blue VW van, zipped thru traffic in Chiang Mai, to meet Yui, the fabulously patient and thorough instructor. We toured the local market and bought some ingredients, came back to Yui's outdoor classroom and made some traditional fish dish, green curry, and palm syrup coconut dessert...really enjoyed it. Thanks for the cook booklet with easy... More

We can't say enough about the A Lot of Thai cooking class with Yui. My husband and I have taken several cooking classes and this one was BY FAR the best. Yui is funny and personable, gave great tips and suggestions on subsitutions for ingredients, etc in your home country. And the food was some of the best we had... More

From the moment I was picked up from my Chiang Mai hotel at 9:30am until I was dropped off again at 5:30pm I learned how to cook 6 Thai dishes, met travelers from around the world, visited a local food market, dined in a private home and received expert local restaurant recommendations. As a solo traveler to Chiang Mai I... More
