The start is early - around 6am on a Sunday morning, however for $1 anything is worth trying. Guide is very helpful, telling us lots of little bits of info about life in Hanoi for the locals and speaks good English. We did about 5km walk through streets of the old quarter and then a lap around the lake. After... More

I had a free evening in Hanoi and decided to try this tour. It was superb! (We tried the 3 hour tour) Yen, our guide, was incredibly friendly. She brought us to so many places, and was very passionate in introducing the local food and culture. We tried all kinds of foods (over 10 different ones, some in obscure, local... More

Eat all you like food tour. Really enjoyed. Our guide took us into many different eating establishments, all serving different things and all off the tourist trail. Wow, we ate some good food. Not quite sure what some of it was but would definitely do it again. It was us that called a halt as we could not eat anymore,... More

Found this tour through Trip Advisor and jumped on the opportunity to explore Hanoi's Old Quarter by eating our way through it. We were welcomed by our charming young guide Trang at our hotlel. We began our tour at dusk and walked by Sword Lake on our way to the Old Quarter. We relied on Trang to get us through... More

We used Awesome Vietnam for transfers to/from the airport and the Food on Foot tour. They took use to a local restaurant were we had seafood cooked in a soup with fresh vegetables, on the table before us. The seafood was of very good quality and we really enjoyed the meal. We also had a bottle of local red wine... More

We recently went on the Sunday Morning breakfast tour with Mr Anh it was well worth getting out of bed that early on a Sunday morning to experience the awakening of Hanoi. Mr Anh is a true professional and has great insight into the workings of Hanoi both in terms of its culinary delights and its culture. He is a... More

My husband and I spent our last Chrismas in Hanoi. Since we had been there before, I was looking for something new or interesting to do. I found the reviews of this $1 Sunday morning walking tour on tripadvisor. I was attracted by it. The only thing that had put me off was the early start. We were to meet... More

Took an early Sunday morning walking tour of the Old Quarter with Anh. It was a great experience and well worth the early morning alarm, even on a Sunday. Anh is very knowledgable and personable and knows the area well. He will take you down little side alleys that you would most likely miss and stop for a breakfast with... More

We joined this morning walking tour with Anh and a few other travelers just last Sunday. Anh really brought Hanoi to life by telling us small nuggets of information we could never have known otherwise. He was knowledgeable about the sites we visited and was able to describe to us the present day significance of a site while weaving in... More
